Mid City Magnet School

Welcome! The 2008-2009 School Year promises to be a year of continued success as students meet increasing standards of academic rigor.

This year, every Mid City student will:

• Read for at least 30 minutes each night and write a minimum of 5 sentences in their own words explaining what they read. These sentences will be recorded in their daily journals.
• In grades 3 and higher, master the multiplication table 1-12 and be able to recite them quickly upon request.
• Complete all class and homework assignments to the best of their ability and human potential.
• Recite and comply with the standards of the Raider’s Creed.
• Try hard to learn.

Mastering these Mid City standards will help students score proficient on all state and district examinations. High expectations and standards are the reasons for academic success at Mid City where our motto is “Success Is The Only Option”.
